As demand for long steel remains at low levels in Spain and Portugal, long steel prices have fallen further for the second consecutive week.

While domestic merchant bar quotations in the Iberian Peninsula have decreased by €5/mt over the past week, beam prices in the region have remained stable in the given period. In the meantime, domestic rebar prices have declined by an average of €5/mt week on week and are currently in the range of €495-500/mt ($554-560/mt) delivered to customer.
