Due to the approach of the Feast of Sacrifice holiday, some buyers in the local Turkish rebar market have already stopped their purchases. As a result, rebar spot prices in Turkey have moved sideways today, August 1, due to the weakness of demand and also despite the slight depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. It is observed that only Turkish mill Icdas has increased its domestic rebar prices slightly.
Today, Turkish mill Izmir Demir Celik has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices stable at TRY 2,601/mt ($465/mt) ex-works, while Icdas has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 10/mt to TRY 2,630/mt ($470/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.
