Local Turkish rebar spot prices increase slightly

Today, September 17, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 20-60/mt ($1-4/mt) to offset currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar prices in the overall local Turkish spot market have settled at TRY 4,020-4,050/mt ($452-455/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region.

Icdas has increased its official rebar price by TRY 20/mt at TRY 4,120/mt ($463/mt) ex-works today. Moreover, most mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions have kept their rebar prices at TRY 4,090/mt ($460/mt) ex-works today. In the Karabuk region, Yesilyurt A.S. has also opened its rebar sales at TRY 4,100/mt ($460/mt). No fresh rebar sale has been heard so far.

All prices are ex-warehouse and on actual weight basis. Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while prices on US dollar basis exclude VAT.
