Turkish merchant bar producers have mostly kept their prices stable in the local currency over the past week, though their prices have fallen by $2/mt on US dollar basis amid the ongoing currency fluctuations. Only One Iskenderun-based mill has increased its equal angle price, to TRY 25,850/mt ($630/mt) ex-works, today, August 26, up by TRY 300/mt ($5/mt) over the same period.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in September or from stocks, depending on the size.
The general sentiment on demand is still negative.
