Import wire rod offers in Pakistan

SteelOrbis has been informed that CIS origin high carbon wire rod offers for the Pakistani market are standing in the range of $570-580/mt CFR Karachi, while ex-CIS low carbon wire rod offers for the same market are at $510-520/mt CFR Karachi - both for December shipment. Since there is no local wire rod production in Pakistan, price levels in this market are shaped by import offers. Due to the demand shrinkage seen in the international markets, CIS origin import wire rod offers have indicated a certain slackening as compared to previous months.
