The Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced its ex-factory prices of long products for February delivery. The details are as follows:
1. Wire rod prices have risen by RMB 60/mt ($9/mt). Thus, the price of 6.5 mm Q235 is now at RMB 3,710/mt ($544/mt).
2. Rebar prices have remained unchanged, with 16-25 mm diameter HRB 335 still offered at RMB 3,700/mt ($543/mt).
The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of February 1, 2010.
