Ex-CIS wire rod offers withdrawn due to holiday

SteelOrbis has been informed that the most recent ex-CIS wire rod offers in the current week indicated no changes since last week, standing at $555-560/mt FOB Black Sea. Due to the Victory Day holiday in the region on May 9, CIS wire rod export offers have been withdrawn from the market. In the meantime, given the political turbulence in Ukraine Turkish buyers are hesitating to conclude new bookings from the region and instead prefer to wait until the situation becomes clearer.
 
Meanwhile, the latest CIS wire rod offers to Europe were at $590-610/mt DAP.
