SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that mesh quality wire rod export offers from the CIS have remained unchanged since last week and are still standing at $575-580/mt FOB Black Sea ports. Meanwhile, ex-CIS wire rod offers to North Africa are at $575-580/mt FOB, while offers from the CIS to Turkey are standing in the range of $585-590/mt CFR.
Market sources state that, because of the competition due to a vast variety of wire rod offers from China, the CIS and Turkey, an upward price movement for wire rod is unlikely to be recorded.
