SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that January production mesh quality wire rod export offers from the CIS have softened by $5/mt since last week and are now standing at $570-575/mt FOB Black Sea ports. In addition, CIS billet offers to Europe are at $600-605/mt DAP. Market sources report that with their export offers Turkish and Chinese wire rod suppliers have continued their fierce competition with CIS market players in the global markets, while demand has slowed down in line with seasonal factors as the year is about to come to an end.
Meanwhile, CIS wire rod offers to Turkey are at $585-595/mt CFR, though no new import deals have been heard in Turkey so far.
