US Steel today quietly announced to customers they will be increasing transaction prices on all new orders for hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil by a minimum of $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt), effective immediately.

The announcement follows similar flat rolled steel price increases that were put out buy other US-based flats mills last week.
