US Steel announces another flats price increase

After announcing a $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt) price increase for flat steel products just two weeks ago, US Steel sent a letter to customers today indicating it will be increasing flat steel products by $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt), with new minimum base prices for HRC set at $30.00 cwt. ($661/mt or $600/nt) ex-mill and HDG at $40.00 cwt. ($882/mt or $800/nt) ex-mill.
