US domestic HDG and Galvalume coil prices have decreased again week-on-week, this time by about $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt). Sources tell SteelOrbis that while import offers are unchanged week-on-week, the significantly lower offer prices continue to put pressure on US domestic offers.
Domestic lead times are trending at about 6-7 weeks, sources note, indicating more supply availability, which adds another dimension of pressure to US coated steel prices. Current domestic and import offers for HDG and Galvalume are below:
