Turkish domestic CRC prices increase

During the past week, demand in the Turkish domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market has been at decent levels, while local producers’ CRC prices have increased by $30/mt week on week to $630-650/mt ex-works, supported by the ongoing uptrend of prices of raw material and flat steel in the global market and also by producers’ order books which are fairly full.

Meanwhile, in the spot market in Turkey, CRC demand is also lively, but buyers continue to face liquidity problems. Turkish traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market have increased by $10/mt week on week to the following levels:

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for August delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
