During the given week, steel plate prices have indicated an overall rising trend, though the upward movement slowed approaching the end of the week due to the lack of significant improvement in transaction activity. Ferrous metal futures prices have continued to rise, boosting sentiment in the spot market. Meanwhile, increases in offer prices for thick specifications have been larger given some shortage of supply in the market for these specifications. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will move sideways in the coming week.
