During the given week, Chinese steelmakers’ capacity utilization rates have decreased, exerting a positive impact on domestic steel plate prices. Meanwhile, inventory levels of steel plate in the spot market have declined, also providing support for steel plate prices. In the given week, ferrous metal futures prices in China moved up first, but have declined in recent days, which will likely influence the movement of steel plate prices in the spot market. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will move sideways in the coming week.
