Average steel plate prices in China are presented in the table below.
During the given week, inventories in the domestic steel plate market have been at relatively low levels, providing some support for steel plate prices. Meanwhile, Chinese steelmakers’ ex-works prices for steel plate are on the high side, thereby bolstering steel plate prices in the spot market. However, the high temperatures and rainy weather in China will likely negative impact demand in the steel plate market. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will move sideways in the coming week.
