The reference price for Brazilian Galvalume exports remains at $750/mt, FOB conditions for the AZ-150 product, stable since a $100/mt decline four weeks ago.
The Covid-19 pandemic had a severe impact on the Brazilian housing sector, negatively affecting domestic demand for Galvalume; this has resulted in more material available for export, while local producers CSN and ArcelorMittal are gradually reducing their production pace.
Galvalume exports from Brazil in April are expected to remain at low levels, not much different from the 500 mt exported in February and March.
