A market source in Brazil told SteelOrbis that the reference price for the export of Galvalume is currently at $800/mt, against $870/mt two weeks ago, CFR for sales to countries in Europe, AZ-150 grade product. The lower price reflects reduction of FOB prices, the source added.

In October, Brazil exported 6,900 mt of Galvalume while importing 23,200 mt of the product.

CSN exported 6,700 mt of Galvalume to the US at $977/mt, FOB conditions, while ArcelorMittal exported 200 mt to Luxembourg and Belgium at $516/mt FOB in average, a price certainly not in line with market conditions. The CSN price deal was probably closed in August.

Imports were from China (22,900 mt at $729/mt), India (121 mt at $785/mt) and Hong Kong (107 mt at $747/mt), all FOB conditions and different quality grades. Small volumes were imported from South Korea and Italy.
