The reference price for Brazilian Galvalume exports is currently $880/mt, against $860/mt two weeks ago, CFR for sales to countries in Europe, AZ-150 grade product.
Sources tell SteelOrbis that the situation persists of very few export deals being closed for Galvalume, as the product remains scarce in Brazil, with imports of Galvalume exceeding its exports.
In December, Brazil exported a mere 240 mt of Galvalume, while importing 15,100 mt of the product. For the full-year 2019, Brazil exported 33,700mt of Galvalume, of which 29,400 mt to the US, while importing 205,800 mt of the product, of which 202,500 mt from China.
The last offer of Galvalume received by a Brazilian importer from China was priced at $780/mt, against $770/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions to a port in the south or southeastern coast.
