Brazilian producers remain negotiating slab of the basic commercial grades for export to the US in a price range of $505/mt to $515/mt FOB, the same range over three weeks, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

The source mentioned that sales to Europe remain negotiated in a range of $440/mt to $460/mt FOB, the same range as last week.

In November, Brazil exported 430,900 mt of slab, against 883,800 mt in October, in a decline reflecting chiefly reduced shipments to the US, from 705,200 mt in October to 259,100 mt in November. Other destinations were Canada (79,600 mt), South Korea (64,500 mt) and Uruguay (36,800 mt).

Ternium Brazil exported 237,500 mt at $532/mt, ArcelorMittal Tubarao exported 130,100 mt at $564/mt, and Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem exported 63,300 mt at $511/mt, all FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in September.
