Brazilian producers are negotiating exports of HRC to South American countries at $610/mt, CFR conditions for the basic commercial grades, a price stable from last week.

In December, Brazil exported 36,700 mt of HRC, against 130,600 mt in November. ArcelorMittal exported 32,000 mt at $440/mt in average, while Gerdau exported 4,700 mt at $687/mt, FOB conditions, with different quality grades and price deals probably closed in October.

The main destinations were South American countries (34,100 mt at $461/mt) and Mexico (2,200 mt at $648/mt), while small volumes were shipped to the Dominican Republic and to the US.
