Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC of the basic commercial grades for export at $620/mt, FOB conditions, a price now stable for two weeks, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.
In May, ArcelorMittal exported 76,000 mt of HRC from Brazil at $632/mt, Usiminas exported 4,100 mt at $1028/mt, and CSN exported 2,300 mt at $657/mt, FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in March and different quality grades.
The main destinations were South American countries (53,500 mt) and Turkey (28,900 mt).
