Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC for export to South American countries in a price range of $590/mt to $600/mt FOB for the basic commercial grades, the same range over the last two weeks, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.
A second local market source mentioned negotiations for the export to Asian countries at lower prices, quoting a range of $565/mt to $570/mt, CFR conditions for the basic commercial grades.
Preliminary indications from the country’s customs authorities point to a sharp increase in October from the 37,400 mt of HRC exported from Brazil in in September.
