Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC for export in a range of $540/mt to $550/mt, against $540/mt to $560/mt last week, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, to destinations other than the US, a local market source told SteelOrbis.
In September, Brazil exported 174,900 mt of HRC, against 27,000 mt in August. The increase reflects exports of 173,300 mt by ArcelorMittal, while Usiminas exported 1,600 mt.
The main destinations were Vietnam (80,600 mt at $454/mt), South America (67,900 mt at $498/mt), Turkey (24,800 mt at $471/mt) and the Dominican Republic (1,600 mt at $511/mt), all FOB conditions, with different quality grades and price deals probably closed in July.
