HRC export price increases in Brazil

Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC of the basic commercial grades for export at $610/mt, FOB conditions, against $600/mt over the last six weeks, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

The source mentioned that HRC prices could increase further in the short term, as the HRC price premium in relation to slab prices has reached an all-time low around $40/mt, comparable with an historic average of $100/mt.
