HRC export price declines in Brazil

Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC for export to South American countries at $550/mt, against a range of $560/mt to $570/mt for most of December, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

In December, Brazil exported 179,700 mt of HRC, in average at $558/mt, FOB conditions, against 154,600 mt at $572/mt in November. The main destinations were Asia (49,900 mt), South America (44,800 mt), Turkey (31,800 mt), the EU (31,400 mt) and the Middle East (21,800 mt).

ArcelorMittal exported 127,400 mt at $544/mt, CSN exported 32,500 mt at $542/mt, Gerdau exported 10,300 mt at $433/mt, and Usiminas exported 9,500 mt at $949/mt, all FOB conditions and price deals probably closed in October.
