Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports in a reference price of $670/mt, against $570/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.

In November, Brazil exported 3,800 mt of HRC, against 52,200 mt in October. All exports in November were from ArcelorMittal and destined to Colombia, in average at $567/mt, FOB conditions. The reduced volume exported in November reflects intense competition from the domestic market and, in a lesser extent, postponement of shipments from November to December.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is offered at BRL 4,312/mt ($852/mt), against BRL 4,015/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions, no taxes included. Such price refers to high and medium sized volumes of the product, when sold directly to large consumers or to distributors. The increase reflects chiefly higher international prices of the product.
