The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $730/mt, stable from two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 4,300/mt ($805/mt), ex works, full taxes except IPI, also stable from two weeks ago.
The Brazilian producers have announced HRC price increases in the domestic market for January 2026, reportedly to return to the price levels of January 2025.
In October, Brazil exported 49,600 mt of HRC, in average at $472/mt, while imported 7,900 mt of at $525/mt, against respectively 26,800 mt at $513/mt and 75,400 mt at $547/mt in September, all FOB conditions.
