Brazil exported 10,900 mt of Galvalume in June, recovering from the 400 mt exported in May, said the country’s ministry of industry, foreign trade and services, MDIC.
According to an exporter, part of the recovery reflects exports scheduled for May but postponed to June. All exports were from CSN, at an average price of $907/mt, FOB conditions, 4 percent higher than prices in May.
The US was the main destination, with 7,400 mt at $926/mt, while 3,500 mt at $865/mt was shipped to Latin American countries, of which 3,000 mt to Argentina—all prices are FOB conditions with deals probably closed in April.
According to an exporter, the most recent Galvalume export deals are now being closed in a FOB price range of $800/mt to $840/mt, depending on quality grade.
