A Brazilian exporter told SteelOrbis that he is still exporting Galvalume at $824/mt, FOB conditions, having the AZ50 grade as reference—the same price since early December.

In the domestic market, such prices are reportedly exceeding $1,300/mt, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, fueling imports of Galvalume and similar products; import totals reached 15,500 mt in December.

As for exports, Brazil exported 15,800 mt of Galvalume in December, against 1,900 mt in November, at an average FOB price of $808/mt, FOB conditions, a price that is about 6 percent less than the average of November.

The exports were almost entirely by CSN and destined to the US (9,400 mt at $846/mt FOB) and Argentina (6,100 mt at $751/mt FOB).
