Following almost two months of silence, a few fresh sales of ex-Iran steel slab have surfaced in the market. However, due to certain reasons there remains considerable ambiguity around the deals in question. According to SteelOrbis’ information, lately two cargoes of 20,000 mt and 30,000 mt of ex-Iran steel slab changed hands at $385/mt FOB BIK, which is $40/mt lower than in the previous trades in early October. Although there is a lack of clarity as regards the precise destinations, according to some reliable sources one cargo was booked by a trader in the GCC region, while another cargo is destined to be shipped to Europe or North Africa.
