Iranian steel mill Mobarakeh Steel Company is reported to have floated an export tender for 20,000-30,000 mt of steel slab. The material is destined to be delivered at the end of October. The deadline for bids is Friday, September 9.

Overall, the situation as regards Iranian steel exports has remained somewhat unclear, with prices being in quite a wide range. Specifically, while some market sources report that the latest ex-Iran slab tender was closed at $440/mt FOB, another reliable source stated that in the latest transaction 30,000 mt of ex-Iran steel slab changed hands at $420/mt FOB.
