Ex-China shipbuilding plate to India

A Chinese trader has offered 2,000 mt of CCSB grade 5.0-22 mm x 1,500 mm x 6,000 mm shipbuilding plate to India at $590-600/mt FOB on actual weight basis via at sight payment by letter of credit for February shipment. SteelOrbis is informed by the trading company that shipbuilding plate offers for Southeast Asia have increased by $10-20/mt compared with the previous week. The company received an enquiry from the Indian customer in question concerning the purchase of shipbuilding plate. Currently, there is a shortage of shipbuilding plate from China and abroad, and so prices are on an upward trend.
