During the given week, shortages of supply in the domestic steel plate market have eased following new arrivals of supplies in the market. Meanwhile, after previous price rises, further price hikes are thought to be unlikely. There are also some signs that demand is beginning to slacken due to the approach of the Chinese New Year (February 8-14), which will reduce the support for steel plate prices. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely edge down slightly in the coming week.
