Average export offer prices of Chinese flat steel products have indicated slight downticks for hot rolled coil (HRC), while moving sideways for other products in the past week. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $495-505/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $560-580/mt FOB.
During the given week, Chinese flat steel export offer prices have softened slightly due to slack demand. Most trading companies are going to close for the approaching Chinese New Year holiday, while market players are mostly maintaining a wait-and-see stance as regards the trend of flat steel export offer prices and are waiting for the post-holiday period. It is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will likely continue their stable trend in the coming week.
