Average export offer prices of Chinese flat steel products have indicated a stable trend in the past week. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $495-505/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $560-580/mt FOB.
During the given week, while Chinese flat steel export offer prices have indicated a stable trend, most trading companies have already exited the market ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, resulting in slack transaction activity. It is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will remain on a stable trend during the holiday period, while it is also expected that they will move sideways in the period immediately after the holiday.
