Average export offer prices of Chinese flat steel products have mostly moved on a slight downtrend in the past week. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $500-510/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $560-580/mt FOB.
During the given week, Chinese flat steel export offer prices have softened slightly due to slack demand. Most trading companies will close for the approaching Chinese New Year holiday, while market players are mostly maintaining a wait-and-see stance as regards the trend of flat steel export offer prices. It is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will likely indicate a stable trend in the coming week.
