Average export offer prices of Chinese flat steel products have mostly indicated a slight downward movement in the past week. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $505-515/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $570-590/mt FOB.
During the given week, flat steel export offer prices from China have mostly indicated a slight downtrend due to slack demand. However, supplies of some flat steel products have been on the short side and so traders have kept their export offer prices for these products stable. Against the backdrop of the approach of the Chinese New Year holiday and the current cold weather conditions, it is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will just indicate slight fluctuations in the coming week.
