Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in August this year.
The producer has decided to decrease its local base prices for hot rolled coil (HRC), steel plate, cold rolled coil (CRC), acid pickling plate, electro-galvanized products and non-grain-oriented silicon steel by RMB 200/mt ($30/mt) for August, while it has reduced its local prices for hot dip galvanized (HDG) and pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt) for the given month. Meanwhile, its price for grain-oriented silicon steel for August has remained stable.
