During the week ending on May 18, average prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) in the Chinese domestic market have moved on a stable trend, while transaction activity in the domestic market has been at low-to-medium levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, inventory levels in the domestic PPGI market have decreased, reflecting the good demand situation. However, traders in the PPGI market have diverse views as regards the prospects for the market. Most of traders are unwilling to raise their PPGI offer prices significantly for now. It is thought that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will continue their stable trend in the coming week.
