Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC of the basic commercial grades for export at $600/mt, FOB conditions, a price now stable for six weeks, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

In April, Brazil exported 56,300 mt of HRC, 44 percent less than in March, at an average FOB price increased by 5 percent to $646/mt, with price deals probably closed in February 2018.

The main destinations were South America (31,000 mt) and Europe (25,000 mt), while small volumes were shipped to the US.

The main exporters were CSN (26,200 mt at $649/mt) and ArcelorMittal (25,300 mt at $601/mt), while Usiminas exported 2,800 mt at $793/mt, all FOB conditions.
