According to a local exporter, the most recent galvalume export deals are being negotiated at $940/mt, FOB conditions, against $900/mt FOB three weeks ago.

In the Brazilian domestic market, galvalume is currently sold by distributors at BRL 4,675/mt ($1,400/mt), ex-works, full taxes except IPI, against BRL 4,930/mt, same conditions, three weeks ago.

With such a high domestic price, in November Brazil imported from China 22,500 mt of galvalume at $666/mt, FOB conditions.

Exports of Brazilian galvalume in November totaled 8,900 mt, against 23,600 mt in October, according to the country’s ministry of industry, foreign trade and services, MDIC.

The average FOB price was $924/mt, 19 percent higher, with CSN exporting 8,300 mt at $934/mt and ArcelorMittal exporting 600 mt at $764/mt, both FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in September.
