Baosteel issues its flat steel prices for April shipment

Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel Group has issued its flat steel prices for April shipment as follows (comparisons are with March prices):
 
1. Hot rolled coil (HRC) prices are unchanged, with the price of 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm SS400 material still standing at RMB 4,792/mt ($729/mt).
 
2. Hot rolled pickled products:
1) Product prices from Baosteel's main steel production base are up by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt);
2) Products from Baosteel's stainless steel division are priced RMB 50/mt ($7/mt) lower than products from its main steel production base.
 
3. Cold rolled (CR) products
1) Products from Baosteel's main steel production base are unchanged in price, with the price of 1.0 mm CR still at RMB 5,896/mt ($897/mt).
2) CR prices from Baosteel's stainless steel division are RMB 100/mt ($15/mt) less than CR prices from its main steel production base.
3) CR prices from Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co. are RMB 200/mt ($30/mt) less than CR prices from Baosteel's main steel production base.
 
4. HDG
1) HDG prices from Baosteel's main steel production base are unchanged. The price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm DC51D+Z remains at RMB 5,647/mt ($859/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm DC53D+Z is still RMB 6,897/mt ($1,049/mt).
2)  HDG prices from Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co. are unchanged
3)  HDG prices from Baosteel's stainless steel division are RMB 100/mt lower than HDG prices from the company's main steel production base.
 
5. Electro-galvanized (EG) prices are unchanged. The price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm SECC EG has remained at RMB 7,167/mt ($1,090/mt).
 
6. Galvalume:
1) Product prices from Baosteel's main steel production base are up by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt)
2) Product prices from Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co. are RMB 50/mt lower than prices from Baosteel's main steel production base.
 
7. Electrical Steel:
 1) Non-grain-oriented electrical steel prices are unchanged
 2) Grain-oriented electrical steel prices are up by RMB 1,000/mt ($152/mt).
 
8. Heavy plate prices are unchanged.
 
9. All the above prices are effective from March 15 and do not include 17 percent VAT
