In the 2008-2011 period, the second largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Zaporozjky Ferroalloys Plant (ZZF) plans to invest about UAH 500 million ($99 million) in the reconstruction of its production capacities.

Among the various reconstruction works covered by the investment program, ZZF will reconstruct its workshop No.4, entailing the installation of new generation blast furnaces as well as the implementation of new energy saving technologies. The first new blast furnaces are expected to be commissioned in the second half of 2009.

In addition, ZZF also plans to construct a new crushing-and-sorting facility, which will allow the plant to completely recycle production waste as early as April 2008.
