Zhongtian Steel produces 6.3 million mt of crude steel in 2010

According to its results for 2010, Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel producer Zhongtian Iron and Steel Corporation (Zhongtian Steel) produced 6.3 million mt of crude steel, its sales revenues totaled RMB 45 billion ($6.8 billion), while its pre-tax profit for the year came to RMB 1.5 billion.

Zhongtian Steel has so far completed the first stage of its technological upgrade project, with a new sinter machine, blast furnace, converter, double high-speed wire rod production line and an oxygen generator having already commenced operations at its plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China. Upon completion of the overall project, Zhongtian Steel's annual crude steel production capacity will reach 10 million mt.
