According to preliminary results, in January-February this year the Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 25 percent to 511,000 mt, while its crude steel production rose by 24 percent to 612,000 mt, both compared to January-February 2010.
In addition, in the first two months of this year, Zaporizhstal saw a 13 percent year-on-year increase in its pig iron output to 480,000 mt and a 20 percent year-on-year rise in its agglomerate production to 881,000 mt.
