Zaporizhstal production results for January-July

According to the preliminary data, in the first seven months of 2006 Zaporizhstal, Ukraine, rose the production of finished steel products by 4.7 percent to 2.125 million metric tons, production of crude steel by 2.3 percent to 2.571 million metric tons, while decreased the production of pig iron by 0.4 percent to 2.06 million metric tons and that of agglomerate by 1.1 percent to 3.211 million metric tons compared to the same period of last year. In July of 2006, the plant produced 311,000 metric tons of finished steel products, 380,000 metric tons of crude steel, 306,000 metric tons of pig iron and 476,000 metric tons of agglomerate.
