Yunzhou Coal Mining acquires coal assets in Australia

Shandong Province-based Chinese coal producer Yunzhou Coal Mining Co., Ltd reported Tuesday, it will acquire two coal and charcoal companies, namely Wesfarmers Premier Coal Limited and Wesfarmers Char Pty Ltd, both subsidiaries of the West Australian company Wesfarmers Ltd.

The deal is still subject to the approval of the regulatory authorities of both governments of China and Australia. Yunzhou Coal Mining stated that the transaction will contribure to the coal reserve of the company and optimize its asset portfolio in Australia
