Yuzhkuzbassugol, a subsidiary of Russian steelmaker Evraz Group, has announced that its Yubileynaya mine has recommenced production after more than five months of closure due to the accident which occurred at the mine on May 24 this year.

Following the accident, the company invested about Ruble 300 million ($12.3 million) in reconstruction work at the mine.

Yuzhkuzbassugol plans to produce 3,300 metric tons of coal per day at the reconstructed Yubileynaya mine.
