Youfa Steel Pipe starts construction of new pipe mill

On August 18, Tianjin, China-based Youfa Steel Pipe Group started the construction of a new pipe mill named Handan Youfa Pipe Inc. in Chengan County, Handan City, Hebei Province, China.

The project is expected to cost RMB 1.18 billion ($170 million) and will be implemented in three stages. The first stage is scheduled to be completed by the end of November this year. The new pipe mill is expected to have an annual production capacity of 1.7 million mt of high frequency welded pipe, 600,000 mt of hot galvanized steel pipe, 1.7 million mt of spiral welded pipe and 300,000 mt of special square pipe.
